In our elementary educational institution, children from the age of 2 can participate in the educational offers and activities. Parents can choose from two directions for their children, which are characterized by the different language offerings. There is a German and an English-speaking kindergarten group. The contents overlap and are the same in the basic elementary educational areas. Children from the English stream, however, are promoted according to the English Curriculum and are therefore released earlier into the pre-school/reception or primary school.
The teaching staff is not only trained in early childhood education but also has a high level of understanding of the needs of intercultural work, as the team consists of four different nationalities. Sensitivity, openness, and individuality are emphasized in elementary educational institutions. The support of all children with their different stages of development and individual needs is a declared goal of the educational staff.
In our educational institution, we try to create a pedagogy that starts with the child. A special and important task for us is the child’s education in independence, which we encounter in the most diverse forms and many opportunities and situations of day-to-day care.
In our educational center, we try to create framework conditions and fields of experience to give the children space and time to develop and test their characteristics and abilities. For us, this also means that we are willing to let go of the children so that they can be creative, independent, and self-determined, and do not have to react to us in an externally determined way.
